Hi All
Thought some of you may be interested in my craft. I make handmade silver jewellery from YOUR children's drawings!
I am not a mum yet but got my inspiration from the drawings of my 3yr old nephew.
This is a new concept in the UK and please have a look at AM Jewellery (http://www.amjewellery.co.uk) and let me know what you think.
Best wishes
Avril

Hi Avril - I looked at your site earlier today, funnily enough.
Good idea, but I don't think I can afford you at the moment!

Hi All
Thanks for the feedback.
I know my pieces do seem expensive compared to ordinary manufactured silver jewellery but I just wanted to stress that these really are miniature pieces of art.
It takes many hours for me to design and make a one-off piece and most of the cost is from the time it takes to craft each individual piece.
My jewellery is also sent to the assay office to be stamped with both a hallmark to certift the purity and quality of the silver I use and my own designer mark. This adds to the cost but also increases the value of the finisehd piece.
I know these aren't the kind of thing you would buy all the time, but I hope that some day you may consider commissioning a piece as a unique present for a loved one.
Thanks again for looking and best wishes to all.
Avril
