Hi there is there anyone techy on tonight, I have just been to look at my site and found my site down, I then get this from my hoasting :
Your site was suspended because it was causing excessive load on the server due to some sql queries:

1055274 deni3504_ localhost deni3504_a 919 Query select x.*, y.p_filename, y.width, y.height, z.comments

1055268 deni3504_ localhost deni3504_a 939 Query select x.*, y.p_filename, y.width, y.height, z.comments

1055232 deni3504_ localhost deni3504_a 1042 Query select x.*, y.p_filename, y.width, y.height, z.comments

1055224 deni3504_ localhost deni3504_a 1071 Query select x.*, y.p_filename, y.width, y.height, z.comments

1055220 deni3504_ localhost deni3504_a 1090 Query select x.*, y.p_filename, y.width, y.height, z.comments

If you know how to rectify this, we can unsuspend your site for the purpose of allowing you to remedy this problem.
I have no idea what this means, this comapany I use is driving me bonkers.
Can you change your hoasting provider for another one?.
So any help welcomed.

I think you'd be best contacting the people who designed it, they may have added something to the e-commerce program that has caused it, are you running os-commerce? or something else.

My h doesn't know enough, I have asked some other people.

Nestle

ok, I have e-mailed them and asked them to put it back on, not sure if they will do this but worth a try.

Have you added any new images recently

Nestle

mmmm on Sunday just some place card pictures

Have to say its all very strange. It can't be anything to do with the install that Daffs has done as she has done loads of them and never had this before.

Added to which I googled for this error and it could find nothing - which is very rare. If its only just happened then Im guessing that either maybe its something you have done to the site recently or its actually your webhosts that have the problem!

i can see this is going to go bad by the sound of things, all I have done was add three pictures on Sunday small ones too, today i was just checking the orders and yesterday too.
God whats happened, what do you think my options are?.
Be kind

Personally I would get the site back up, copy all the files and do a database backup and move elsewhere!

Nestle

i am trying to but they are not responding to my e-mail.

Don't panic. I have Arianna taking a look now. You might have to change host but you will need to get it back up live so we can do a database backup, etc. Will mail you!

I wish I had seen this yesterday. Daffs, it could be the database connection in the configure.php files. They need to be set to non-persistent, I had a similar problem with one of my oscommerce installs.

This line in configure.php should be set as:

define('USE_PCONNECT', 'false'); // use persistent connections?

If that doesn't solve it then sorry I don't know but the hosting company is very poor to suspend the website just like that. When I had the problem I had at least some time to sort it out.

Hmm seems already to be set as that

Dino

Oh dear, sorry that didn't help, hope Arianna finds the problem, all very strange.

But I would still move hosts whatever the outcome, just taking down the site without any warning is not on.

Hi Karen,

I agree about the behaviour of the hosts and how they've handled this. I know if we discover any issues with any of the sites on our servers, we contact the customer and say that their site is having an issue, this is what it is doing, here are some possible ways to fix it. If that doesn't work we'd be happy to look at it and fix it at the support fee costs.

Unless we had notification to remove a site for legal reasons, we don't remove the sites without first speaking to the client.

I think the company have handled it very poorly. :-(

Arianna

Don't worry if you'd rather not say, but do you mind me asking who your current hosts are, just so I can avoid them in the future.

Thanks

As far as I am aware everything is set up for you on this, you just need to move across your files and database and point your domain name to the new server. If you are unsure about how to do this catch me on msn this evening.
