When we had dogs when we were kids we always had paper n we started with it near the bed n if the dog needed well ya know wed rush him to the paper if he were elsewere and as the dog got used to it move it little by little further away from the bed til in the end it wasnt needed cos they peed etc outside.

That worked for 3 diffrent dogs all diffrent breeds.

Tried that as well. He is just completely ignoring his paper or tearing it up..lol

Might be a long shot but would a litter tray work?

Fingers crossed he seems to be going whenever he is in the garden now.

Toni, be patient with him, it will take time, I know it took me a few weeks to train my house bunny to use a litter tray, but it worked in the end. Just an idea, but if he does poo in the house, scoop it up and take it outside with the dog, show him that's where he should do it.
