We have started buying our parents tickets to a nice show at the local theatre that they can use after xmas :)

Photo is good....this year we are making chocs...the peppermint fondant ones in the recipe section, putting them in boxes and dishing them out at Crimbo with ds1's school photo.

Tickets to a show/local place of interest is a good idea.

I once bought my parents a gift token for a local restaurant - something like that maybe?

I normally make a hamper and pay for a short break holiday for my parents.

Dh mum gets a hamper and the family clubs together and buys things like DVD players, Freeview, luxury items she cannot afford as she is on a low income.
