Critism Needed Please!!!

I need opinions on my website and where I've gone wrong

I know I need more products on there but that's another story

is it easy to navigate??
are the prices too expensive??

what is the best way to promote it??

navigates really easily, not sure about the scroll down in each page though, but it works, just down to personal choice!!

It looks good to me was tempted by the m&s dresses but ww are skint at the mo. It was easy to navigate, like you say not many products yet.

Don't know whether you can jazz up the menu's a bit?, when i clicked on girls there was nothing in the main window the menu's were still at the side. I know its obvious where but thought it may look nice if you could have big menu buttons with perhaps viewing windows like some of the other sites have. Does that make sense?

I'd also say i couldn't find an address on there, i don't usually order on-line unless i can find an address and landline telephone number.

Is it ok to put my address on there even if it's my home address, does that matter??. and I'm ex directory should I get an 0845 or 0870 number instead??

I was thinking about getting some pictures to put in the main window to make it look nice, just can't decide which ones to use yet. Not sure what you mean about viewing windows though

I have tried oscommerce, I kept getting all kinds of error messages and now my hosting providers are telling me I need to upgrade it and I don't know what I'm doing

I agree, I think a new logo will make a big difference. I would also suggest trying oscommerce. I thought you had that up and running?

I think your prices are excellent TJ. I agree a new logo would be good, as your existing one doesn't look very professional (sorry, but you wanted honesty !)

The scrolldown bit isn't particularly user friendly imo either. I know it's really hard to start with TJ, hang on in there, I get loads of hits too (some days 150) and out of that there are no Orders. I think you have to be patient, which is difficult I know, but the more hits you can get the more Orders you will too. I am still building up my Customer base and once people order from you once then that gives them a little confidence to come back aswell. Do you offer existing Customers Special Discounts ? Do you send out Newsletters, Emails detailing new stock and sales etc ? All those things help to build confidence in your Customer Base and make for a professional site. HTH TJ, hope Daffs was able to help you some more. Don't give up on it, just keep thinking it's more of a long term project rather than a quick fix, that helps me xxx

Same as Lemon really, hate scrolls on sites and they by themselves make me think 'unprofessional' but then I am now a website snob. We will sort you out, no worries about that :D

sorry didnt meant o be blunt about the scroll down thingy.. it just isnt something that i like...
what about a different background colour to makeit slightly different and stand out from the crowd?
the back a level button can be a tad irritating as you need to then go back through all your choices there and then, if you want to change quickly between girls and boys for arguments sake then it can take longer than it would do with other sites..
i agree with the logo issue too...

on your front page.. where you have 3 pics in a line at the top of the blurb... is ther any reason that at the end of it you have 2 and then 1 under it? It would look better imho if it was symmetrical....
you cant see the useful links button very clearly - it has the yellow bar (the pwered by bit) going on top of it

I know what you mean, I tried to get on pic underneath the other one but this stupid software I'm using won't let me do it.

I did have oscommerce running (you know the one you did for me) but that was a different website.

I'm not doing that one atm because I really think I need to sort KFZ out first. Might scrap the whole website and start again with oscommerce on that one or something similar, what do you think?
