help selling on auction

Hi i am trying to put something on the auction but it keeps tell in me that the image is to large. I have cut of as much of the pic as possible, but as i do not know much about computers i do not know what else to try. Any ideas please20061008

what file format are you saving it in as that can often make file sizes huge, right click on on your piccy and select properties to find out the file size

I always reduce the size of my image in my photo editing software, it's probably the resolution that's too high.

hi, thanks for trying to help out.
the file size says 772KB and pic size is 1188x1624 pixels.
i transfered the pic from my camera into my kodak program.:ac39:

your piccy needs to be smaller than that, I use Microsoft Photo Editor to resize my piccies, try decreasing the size to around 500x750 and see what it look slike at 100%

If you use photobucket you can actually resize your photos on there very easily.

yeah, I forgot that the photoucket can resize, never used it for that before, going ot go have alook

I have found a program on kodak and you can save it then change it to best for web which takes it to 326x 354 Am not sure what it will look like though .Carolyn

Yes , he is being kept busy chasing daddy long legs at the moment.
Thanks to everyone for your help i think i have sorted it. I can go into the kodak program and reduce it to best for web. hope that it will be good enough.:thanks: Carolyn
