I felt embarrassed to be Scottish - we are not all like that! I felt so sorry for Ryan, the nine-year old, all he wanted was a bit of praise and love. I was shocked that neither of them could praise each other, it was really quite sad.
I don't blame the kids for their swearing and shouting, the parents are their role models and they were just mini versions of them!
They actually had an article in the Daily Record - http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/news/tm_objectid=17630162%26method=full%26siteid=66633-name_page.html
Thing is if you are going to invite the cameras in, then it's more fool you!

I agree I think she is just embarrassed to have seen her family and their apalling behaviour on tv and has only just realised that millions of others saw it as well. As you say with parents like that as role models that is the behaviour you can expect and they showed themselves that they could not stick to anything that had been agreed so why should the kids? I can never understand why people would want to do this to themselves, if they need help, there are other places that they can get it from without making a show of themselves on tv. Although I think this question is answered in the newspaper article though when they moan about only getting paid £250.

Although I think Super nanny is brilliant (have you seen the mag thats out at the moment) I wouldnt let her in my house lol. My dd has her moments, but even if she was a little so an so I couldnt put myself on the TV to get help.
Thing about that family is, the parents were telling the kids not to swear..but they swore like troopers themselves. They say that they dont swear all the time, thats not the point...the fact of the matter is "they do swear".

I love Supernanny - even though those families terrify me! Of course the producers will show the worst of the behaviour, it makes for better television, but the fact that they got on like that around their kids is enough for concern. I know we all cope with our kids in different ways but we've all reached the end of our tether with them but I know I would never say 'The sooner you go into a home the better' to them.
Actually, someone recently told me that Supernanny reminds them of me!!!! I know I'm chesty but don't know about the whole dominatrix thing she's got going on :hysterica

There was an article about her in the paper the other day. For someone with no formal childcare qualifications, she is doing quite well ! She is also a millionaire and still lives at home with her dad.

Really ! I am suprised that she has earnt that amount of money already and that she still lives at home. I thought she was pregnant in the last series ? She had a very big tummy.
