My poor pup took sick again yesterday. She has just really recovered from her really bad stomach and womb infection a little while ago. On Friday we noticed her ears were really bugging her so we took her to the vets and she's got a nasty ear infection, but nothing serious. However, yesterday she threw up as dh and I were about to leave the house to go celebrate my birthday (timing!) and there was blood in it - so naturally I panicked. Dh is colour blind and couldn't see it so he thought maybe I was imagining it and getting over excited. We took her to the vet again, who said it was prob a rupture from being sick, gave her some injections and sent us home saying if she was sick again bring her back. Went out for lunch, came home, dog sick again, same thing. Scooped vomit up in one of the kids reusable nappies (well seen I'm a parent, strong stomach!) and back to vet. So they've kept her in overnight, blood tests all ok this morning but they're taking an xray and possible ultrasound of her tummy this pm so please all keep your fingers crossed that there isn't anything too serious there. I love her so much, she saved me when I had really bad depression many years ago, and I can't bear the thought of her being really ill. Should hopefully know later this afternoon. :crossfing

Oh yes, it is! - am great advocate for pet insurance! Last time round would have cost us about £1,600 - this time so far about £800.

Got a text from Ellie earlier on, Smokey was operated on this morning as she'd swallowed a piece of tube. Fingers crossed she makes a full recovery and is back home soon.
