Just looked out onto my beautiful lawn at the back of my garden to find a few large bits of raised soil, they weren't there when I was out there this morning, don't think they were there 2 hours ago when I was hanging the washing out. It has all the telltale signs of a mole. So any ideas on how I can get rid of them, I have read that you can pour a jeyes fluid mixture down the hole and the smell will get rid of them. Guess it's a trip to Homebase after dinner to see if they have anything. Got a feeling when I get back home from camping on Friday night I won't have much of a lawn left.

There are humane "sonic" mole scarers out there, I feel sorry for you and your lawn but I do like moles, they're so tiny to do all that digging.

Ever read Duncton Wood? great fantasy epic all about moles, I'd recomend it as a good read.

If you have one of those tune things that are inside some greetings cards they absolutely hate them, drop one down the hole playing it's tune and they run a mile. Evidently, i've never tried it lol

I'm convinced it was my guinea pigs that invited hom over for a party while we were away, trying to find a humane mole trap online, I can't bear to buy one of the nasty claw ones that crush it to death

the trap we had, didn't crush it (well it must have done i suppose), but it didn't look gory or anything.

Hahaha can just imagine you all bashing about looking for moles!

We caught a mole with a trap once, trap went off, mole was underground, dead, next to the trap but not in it and had obviously pegged it with shock!

All this mole talk reminds me of my favourite book for reading aloud, 3-4 year olds love it.
