little grandson had his first injections a couple of days ago, today he is not himself at all, he keeps getting very hot and crying very hard and can't be comforted. Poor little chap, daughter took NHS direct clinic and they said it wouldn't be the a reaction to the injections but what rubbish when you inject a 2 month old baby with six illnesses what else would you expect. It was bad enough when it was changed to three in one go. Did I imagine it or did i hear that they were going to make it nine in one in the future?

I don't know how their little bodies cope with so much at once

Awww ... I hope he's ok, bless him. My two weren't too bad but some friends babies reacted and felt poorly for a few days. Hope he's better soon.

After all the research we've done into immunisations if I had another baby it wouldn't have those first jabs until it was much older. Isobel hasn't had her MMR either, nor will she.
I hope your little fella is soon much better x

Hope he feels better soon.

Mine haven't had the pre-school boosters yet (a year or two overdue now) ...

mine are all up to date with thiers. It took me 5 years to let them give ben his mmr....
i hate it too.
i swear by medised and nurofen for the first 24 hours, and then at the first sign of them being off colour i give them more medised - normally 3 days and then again at 3 months. Mine are alwasy grumpy, miserable, teary adn off colour for about a week.
The only reason i have done it is because round here we have had several outbreaks of measels and mumps and i think that on balance the injection is worse than the illness and the possible complications

We didn't let Isobel have the first baby jabs that our surgery were giving out, the HV was brilliant and brought us a schedule so that she could have the alternative jabs that we thought were safer for her. Just as she was finishing the course, the jabs that we wouldn't let her have were withdrawn!!

Withdrawn Sarah? What do you mean - I'm worried now!!
I hope your little grandson gets better soon ruthie, poor thing.
Zack was absolutely fine with his jabs, he would cry whilst having it done but stop straight after and then smile as usual, no temperature and no irritablity either so we were lucky.
Who's little ones have had the MMR?
