Has anyone seen this at Queen's Theatre in London? I want to know what the seating is like there. I can't really afford the 'good' seats and wonder if it's worth going to see it if we have to sit up in the Gods. I'd like to take Katherine to see it as the youth theatre are performing it next year and she has to audition for a part so I wanted her to see it and learn the songs.

I saw it years ago in London (not sure which theatre it was).

We were in the Gods (never been so high up in a theatre before, or since) even though we have had seats in the gods in our local theatre and I thought it brilliant!

It is one of my fave musicals - love all the songs in it.

I saw it again in Manchester a few years ago, and think I agree with gingerbam - the overall view of the stage was amazing - but I think I remember seeing some bits behind the barricade, that we shouldn't have!

Oh yes, take your inhaler lol. Tim and I have sat in the Gods for more than a couple of proms concerts at the Albert Hall, actually you usually stand up there lol. I don't mind the Gods for music as the accustics are usually very good in most theatres but I do like to see the expressions on peoples faces in opera or musicals and plays.

Hope you have a super time though it's a wonderful musical.

You will have a fab time where ever you sit.

Well have to see if I can afford it first because even the 'cheap' seats are £22.50 each so that's £45 plus the cost of the train fair and we'll probably need an overnight stay unless we can get a matinee. Thanks for your input everyone x

I love Les Miserable and would definitely agree that you would get a better view from higher up.

Take plenty of tissues with you as it is so sad!

When I went, we did a "girly" weekend trip (coach, theatre and hotel included). Twas a long time ago, but I was surprised how cheap the actual theatre ticket was (think it was about £5) I'm sure it will have been a group discount, etc but it was comparable to prices at our local theatre..... then we got there and realised just how high up we were!

Oh yes I really really want to go but we are so broke at the moment, really struggling and just can't justify the cost. I'm going to see if there is a local coach trip, I'm sure there must be.

Well I booked two tickets to see Les Mis on 19th August, it's a matinee performance and the tickets are half price :D I also managed to get the train tickets £16 cheaper by phoning Virgin trains.
Katherine and I are sooooo excited, I've not been to London for about 10 years and Katherine has never been :D :D
Thanks Smirnoff for all your help x
