Anyone else finding that cloth nappies seem to be very hot in this weather? We'd just started changing over to our Fuzzis with our newborn son but he doesn't seem to be appreciating them in the heat (he was fine over the weekend when it was cooler?)

Incidentally his 2yr old brother has just potty trained so maybe he found them too hot too?

Love Elaine

I love my clothies. Izzy is spending a lot of time out of nappies at the moment as we are potty training. The ones I use don't seem to make her too hot though.

We are not getting on very well. She sat on her potty yesterday and did a big wee and she spends most of her day out of nappies but tends to wee in the garden, not getting very far but I know I have to be consistent with her.

Yes I'm finding the nappies really hot (well ahem, dd is... lol). I've been putting her in disposables for the past couple of weeks, but I'm getting so fed up with the horrible smelly bins! We only have dustbin emptied once a fortnight. yuk.

Noooo don't use dispicables! Can't you give her lots of nappy free time? My daughter has spent most of the last week naked. If I do use disposables I use the nature babycare ones from boots as they are eco-friendly and really soft and nice to use.

Do you know she hardly has any nappy free time except for first thing in the morning and last thing at night - it's just never occured to me. Hmmmm - does yours ever have accidents then?

Yeah occasionally but she's 2 now. She's been naked most of the last week and she hasn't had any accidents at all in the house, she's wee'd in the garden but that's not so bad and yesterday she asked for her potty and did a wee on it!!

I have seen ds's little friend in his cloth nappies and he came round the other day with no shorts just his nappy and gorgeous cover and I wish i had used cloth nappies, they are oh so gorgeous and scrummy, if i had another which i dont think i will i would have cloth nappies, maybe when the grandchildren come along i can persuade them, but hopefully thats not for a long while yet

I always think that cloth nappies are cooler that disps - just think of all that lovely air that gets trapped in the fabric. Will be even better if you are using wraps that are breathable - the airflow will help to cool them down too.

And I agree that lots of nappy free time is good too - didn't have too many accidents with E!
