Hi there
My name is Tracy and I'm 28 years old. I am married to Marius who is 30. We have a little boy Thomas who is 3 and starting pre-school in September. I live in Northern Ireland (although born in Edinburgh and lived in Scotland for the first few years of my life). Before taking a career break 3 years ago when Thomas was born, I was in the Civil Service. I have been doing a bit of childminding here and there in between and have now decided to make this my career, so I'm in the process of becoming registered. It's just a better fit for me cos my post in the Civil Service is in Belfast, which is 130 miles return trip from home20061008 . What else? Um, we've been TTC for about a year, got a BFP in April, but sadly I miscarried earlier this monthcryingsmil . Can't decide whether to wait for a while before trying again or go right ahead.
On a more positive note...my interests are: home improvements, reading, travelling, music esp. GREEN DAY!!! :woot: (obsessive fan here...Billie Joe ROCKS..oh and for those of you who haven't a clue what I'm on about, please accept my apologies!). I also moderate an intimate forum which I set up, we have 22 mums and 1 dad, and I am in charge of letting out a self catering property which my Dad owns which involves advertising, taking bookings, maintaining the property etc etc..that keeps me on my toes. I have no pets although used to have a lop eared rabbit called Sweep who I adored, but we rehomed him when Thomas was born.
Um, can't think of anything else about me right now..I hope to get to know some of you a little if you'll have me! Look forward to posting.
Love Tracy xxx

Hi Tracey
I too am new to the site.
I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage.
if it helps at all i know exactly what you are going through as i have miscarried several times.
i would suggest you try again when you are hubby feel up to it.
I last miscarried in nov last year - twins this time - and i am only just contemplating trying again now!
So take your time, have some family time and try when you feel up to it.
And just cos its happened once doesnt mean it will happen again.
And if you need to talk to someone who knows how it feels i am here.

Aww Maria, thanks for such a lovely post. I am so sorry for your losses, it's such a hard thing to deal with isn't it? I think you are right, we shouldn't put too much pressure on ourselves to try again too soon. I think we will give it until the new year maybe. We have the burial service of our little lost one to get over us first, that's in September. I think it is lovely the way hospitals deal with m/c's now in terms of having proper burials which parents are encouraged to attend. Anyway thanks again for your kind words.

No need to say sorry to me, petal. I am ok and came to terms with it all long ago. I am glad you are not putting pressure on yourself to try again - i keep thinking right yes i will. then the next minute - no i wont.
I have a beautiful son (Joseph - two) so i know i can have a child (eventually) its just how long will it take this time, you know?
Thanks for the fairy, that was so sweet
:thanks:
