Girls/Boys clothes sizes

Hi there

Just wondering if anyone else find that little girl clothes are so much smaller that boys clothes for the same age,

With my two both jsut turned 3, Ds clothes are always nice, loose and comfortable, with DD I always have to buy much bigger size and even then still too short, too tight fitting,

Would you agree that "society" is trying to mold little girls into a certain shape , perfect size 10's if you get what I am meaning. Like womens clothes always seem small for the size.

i havent noticed but when i think about it ella is in a lot bigger clothes than what david was at her age

I do agree with you. I have two boys of my own and when I get stock in for my Shop that is girl's clothes I can't believe they would fit the age that they say !

Haven't got any boys to compare sizes to but madam turned 3 in April and has been in 4 yo clothes for a couple of months - she's tall like her dad!

my daughter was always smaller that her brothers so i didnt notice if the clothes were smaller, she was still wearing age 1-2 knickers when she was 5!!!

I reckon its because they think girls will want clingy clothes to show figures off etc....which is absurd when they are so young, I have a real problem with beckys clothes.

ds's shorts was only 9-18month old that he had on the other day and he is nearly 2 and there was plenty of room in them, and dd always gets age 11-12 and she is 12, little ds is bigger in tops though than bottoms, but big ds was like that short legged but now he is 16 and bigger size in shoes and everything than his dad and buys large mens in t-shirts

I can do better then that cam wore shorts for 18 - 24 month old for his 4th birthday party and was still wearing them when he was in the receiption class

madam was also in clothes for a younger age groupm then she was until she hit 12
