I'm selling a cd recorder for dh and he wants £140 for it. I specifically wrote on the item description that we only accept payments via Paypal if they have a confirmed paypal address or a verified paypal account. Someone wrote to me as I also said if they have a feedback of less than 5 to contact me before buying (new ebayers are a nightmare). I said I had no problem with him buying but he could only pay by paypal if his account was verified or his address was confirmed.
The stupid tw*t has just sent a paypal payment and his account is neither verified nor his address confirmed. I'm so mad :ac39:
Why don't people read! Now I have to go to the bother of relisting the item and I wanted it sold and posted before our holiday. He might choose another method of payment (I've offered 4 other methods) or he might confirm his paypal address (which takes 2 mins), but as he's ignored everything else I've said I'm not holding my breath!!
Sorry I'm soooo mad just wanted to rant 20061008

Oh! We had an email last night saying he'd received the parcel! As far as I know though he's not let paypal know :angry-smi123
But at least I have an email from him saying he's received it!

Why does the account need to be verified? Cant you just wait for the money to clear in your paypal? Im not sure how its different?

Because if they are not verified and there is a problem with the payment later on ie it's a stolen credit card or something like that. Paypal will take the money back from me (even weeks later) even though the customer has received the item! You are not covered under Paypal's seller protection policy if you ship goods to an unconfirmed paypal address. I've been bitten before by this twice but fortunately it was for small amounts, I'm not taking a risk with £140, he might be genuine and probably is and if he is he'll confirm his address or verifiy his account.
Nochex never claim money back from you they are much better and they charge less too!
