Keeping yourself up to date with the latest news prepares you on what advice or information to follow because things change change very easily.
I'll confirm that North Korea did not fire any nukes the payloads were actually empty however North Korea does have nuclear Weapons and are threating Japan And the USA with a Nuke war
What made this 100% worse was because North Korea attempted to Launch a missle to test if it had the ability to launch a long range missle - Before this America could try to get North Korea to listen to logic but now
Now its a totally differnt ball game - now the Usa know what North korea are doing and will reply.

North Korea test-fires at least three missiles, one of them a long-range weapon that the U.S. has been monitoring, U.S. sources say.
US Warships have been placed on High Alert !

US must be quaking in its boots. Just read bbc news. Why on earth would the N Koreans return to talks aimed at limiting their nuclear capability? Tricky situation, but can't see NK really attacking the US. It'd likely be suicide for them.
Hope this calms down quickly, but I think we'll hear a lot more about it first, unfortunately. Perhaps NK just trying to up its international status.

No don't worry about it. Nothing you can do and worrying won't help. Hopefully it will all blow over and come to nothing.

It's not upsetting me but if you read the other posts it's scaring other people. Not really what we want to be reading about on a parenting forum - in my opinion anyway.

I'v been following the news for a long time and this really is one of them news stories that could go either way I'm praying it goes no further than the UN
however this is a major breaking news and I can't say enough this is really really bad, I don't normally say things like this but knowing what might happen in the next few hrs to a day is pretty scary.

Mr Marky, I was interested to read your post, I heard the tail end of the news last night but couldn't find anything with the full story on. I may be missing something here or about to get things thrown at me but didn't see it as scaremongering, I thought that Mr Marky had just started a thread about something which he was interested in and thought might be of interest to others on here. Its like all the threads really, no one makes you read them or says they are gospel, everyone just picks the bits that they want join in with. Maybe Mr Marky is not interested in me going on holiday next wednesday, in Emily's school report, what I had for my lunch or what I have recently bought when shopping but he has been polite enough not to say if that is the case.
Sorry
