My Doctor I really have lost a lot of respect for him recently , just been to see re coil and i also asked for some better pain killers as I am starting to have trouble sleeping with the pains in my hips and pelvis so he started going on about me losing weight as it was the only thing that will stop the pain, now I had asked my physio if losing weight would help and he said only a little bit !! i pointed this out to the doctor who said the physio needed to be sacked :fryingpan:

A couple of weeks ago when I took shannon down to him about the headlice (yes its still going on) he gave me some treatment which i know doesn't work so I pointed this out to him and asked for some hedrin which he ignored and started going on about I have to try this other one as it does work and to test it I should put some in the palm of my hand and drop a few headlice in it to see if they die ok fair enough well it would be if the damn things didn't become inanimated in fluid so water would have the same result yet that doesn't get rid of them :angry-smi123

If it wasn't for the HV there i would change surgerys

b*stard doctors. I have the same issue re weight and arthritic pain with mine. She told me that she wasnt going to give me any more painkillers or anything until i have lost lots of weight. What she didnt even acknowledge was that i have just lost 2 1/2 stone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sympathise and send you hugs hunni.....

I wouldn't mind so much but I'm not hugely overweight well i suppose in the grand scheame of things I am but I am 5'7 and 14 stone and tbh thought my weight was ok considering i've had 7 kids , then again with him if its not the weight its the smoking its like there couldn't possible be anything wrong with me that i've not inflicted on myself now is there .. I am still fuming

I agree.. weight or smoking.... well forgive me!!!!!!! I have other things going on so no i probably dont eat the right thing and occasionally skip meals and yes i smoke and occasionally drink! Sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But tbh i dont think many doctors look the pillar of health themselves!!
