I have had my two new kittens for 2 weeks and they have settled in really well. They are 10 weeks old now. What age are they allowed outside? As they are becoming very curious of the front door.
Also when they do go out how do I make sure they can find their way home.
Thanks

Hi, I've never let my cats out of the front door because of the road, of course if you only have a front door you have too lol, plus I live on a main road which doesn't help.
I've had 2 cats from kitten and the first one was 6 months before he went out and the one we have now was about 5 months, they were both so small that I didn't want them lost. I also couldn't get a collar small enough to put a tag on for her, I'd never let a kitten out without a tag.
Don't forget that a cat has it's first season when it's 6 months old and can get pregnant so make sure you've had her 'done' first.
Can we have photo's please.

when it came to letting mine out i sat in the back garden with them and every couple of minutes kept calling her back so she got used to me calling her i done that for about a week or so and after that she was fine HTH xxxx

This one Bracken and is a girl
They are 10 weeks old and are little devils into every thing.
They were farm cats but they are really friendly and great with the children.

I have put tags on both of them just in case they do get out by accident as the kids are always in and out. We found some kitten collars they are lovely with special catches just in case they get caught on anything they then just come off.
Hoping to get their injections done next week when I have a car.
Regarding the female coming into season as they are brother and sister I don't want him getting her pregnant so can I get her done before she comes into season or can I get him done earlier to be on the safe side.
Hope that makes sense.

My cat is 20 this year, and I'm sure we had her "done" soon after we got her from a friend. Don't remember her coming into season first.
Congratulations, by the way, you have two cuties there!
