Hi all, if anyone lives in/around the East Midlands area, I've just re-launched a website called Better Days Out East Midlands. www.betterdaysout.co.uk. It has activites for children, child-friendly places to go, fun days out, etc...

Each listing is on the site because it is either recommended by us (our family!) or by other parents of young children. In order for the site to grow and improve, we rely on people telling us about places to go. And of course we try and get out each weekend to a new place and I always bring my camera and take mental notes for a recommendation. Since expanding to encompass the whole of the East Mids, I need some great recommendations for days out in, and around, some of the main cities other than Nottingham.

I’ve had some great feedback from parents telling me how useful they find the site and how it’s their “first port of call” when they want a family day out.

I had a phone call yesterday asking how they could get involved with Better Days Out to help it go National – possibly franchise or set up teams around the country. (!!!) So, the site’s getting very popular!! Anyway, just thought I’d let ppl know in case they live in the area and are stuck for ideas of what to do with the kids – especially now summer is here….

Sorry everyone, I meant to put this thread in the Useful Sites section. Is there anyway to move it?

No, no map. But the main city it covers is Nottingham, where I live. There are also places on the site that are in other areas such as Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire.

Do you mean is there a map to show where all the listings are? Might be a good idea. I'll think about how to do that since the site is updated all the time with new listings.
